SlicKnives has designed our FlicKnives series in the U.S. and have them made from distressed tumbled stonewashed AUS10 stainless steel by our expert knife making partners in Taiwan. The Homesteader 3.5 TM includes a smooth manual flipping 3.5” modified sheepsfoot blade and ceramic ball bearing pivot, a solid liner lock with ceramic detent, and a full comfortable grip with a strong 4-position stonewashed pocket clip that will make it your go-to large EDC knife.
The Homesteader 3.5 is less pokey than other blade profiles and comes super-sharp out of the box with a full flat grind and a secondary beveled edge for strength, ease of sharpening, and years of service. We’ve included jimping along the spine of the liners under your thumb to improve handling of tough jobs and along the liner lock release for easy one-hand closing. To allow for choking up on the Homesteader 3.5 for finer tasks, we’ve included a finger choil for proper handling. And since it’s made with quality stainless steel, you won’t need to worry about the edge or blade corroding at the end of the day.
Black G10 scales have been chosen to provide a tough, long-lasting grip that holds up over a day’s work, even when it gets wet. The ergonomic grip is mounted to the Homesteader 3.5 with screws for durability and includes a hole that’s ready for a safety cord or brightly colored length of paracord for improved visibility if you so choose. Great knife all around. Quality craftsmanship, smooth action on double bearings, easy to change scales. Reminds me of abeefed up Benchmade Bugout. I have batoned wood, cut food, made feathersticks, and carried it almost everyday for 2 months now!!!! Buy with confidence and check out the knifes upgrades too!!!!
I love these scales! The fit and finish is perfect, they don’t have any rough edges or imperfections. The texture makes for safe and comfortable handling. They install easily in just a few minutes. I also love the wide selection of colors and the price is very reasonable!
If you need a great edc knife or work knife, this is it! G10 scales and steel liners feel very solid and robust. The classic sheep’s foot blade shape comes razor sharp and has a nice flat grind that makes it very slicey. I have not had to sharpen it, but I did run it across a strop a few times to see how well it would respond to the strop, and it strops back very well. The action is very smooth with the ceramic bearings and ceramic detent. The flipper works great, even in gloves. The lockup is good with no blade play up and down or back and forth. The g10 has a nice grippy texture and is very easy to change out if you want different color scales.
This knife has handled everything I’ve thrown at it with ease. I’ve used it to cut cardboard, paper, paracord, plastic, rubber, rope, zip ties, ratchet straps, leather gloves, wood, and even used it for food prep. They are a very pleasant company to interact with as well!
Out of the box, the Model One 3.5 feels solid and compact. Its build quality is immediately apparent, with every component fitting together precisely.
The textured handle, made from Blk G-10, offers a secure and non-slip grip, even when wet.
Over all i am very impressed with these knives and looking forward to trying out their others.

I have been loving my SlicKnives 3.5”drop point folding knife. The moment I got it I felt the quality in it. It has a great blade to handle ratio and feels super comfortable in the hand. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a solid hard use knife!

I bought the hunter 5 black originally. I liked it some much, I bought a 2nd one when they went on sale. You really can't beat this deal for a good solid fixed blade. Hair popping sharp too.
Overall very impressed with this knife's specs and value.
Some of the things I like the most are the fantastic spearpoint Kephart style blade, the well shaped handle, four position pocket clip, excellent lockup, and great weight for its size.
That size is one thing I wasn't quite prepared for. Even though I knew it was a 3.5" blade the 8.5" overall size is quite substantial. That makes it an awesome choice for a work knife, but probably not ideal for the office. The PB washers also make it a nice choice for work environments. As a fan of washers in general these are breaking in nicely. Very smooth. For those looking for a drop shut action you may prefer something else like their flipper on bearings.
Scales are nice peel ply texture without being overly grippy and should wear in nicely. I really like the color swap options they sell although I haven't tried them. If they offer a 3D scale choice in the future I will definitely pick that up. The flats are nice and the overall height helps fill the hand, but I think if I were really putting them to use I'd want something beefier to avoid hot spots.
The blade is great. With a tall flat grind, neutral point, nice belly, and even factory grind it is a great cutter. The stock is a bit beefy and the taper only goes an inch or so back from the tip so you have great piercing strength. The aggressive stonewash hides any wear marks nicely. I put it to work in the kitchen and it rough chopped root veggies with enthusiasm. Worked great at dinner as a steak knife too. I don't think it will replace a paring knife for detail work, but the 3.5" blade would be right at home in a utility or camp knife role.
One thing I would change on my model is the detent is just slightly lighter than I would like. A touch more resistance would make the deployment much more satisfying to pop out. This doesn't really affect performance and it's not so light that the blade will accidentally open so I just chalk that up to personal preference.
Overall the FlicKnives Pocket 3.5 is a killer value and feels like a spiritual successor to the RAT1 with slight upgrades in steel and scale material for a competitive price. It's not going to compete with the fidget monsters we see released by so many newer brands these days, but it's not trying to. The FlicKnives takes itself just a bit more seriously and is a purpose built design you can tell was well thought through. As a tool, it excels
I thought a knife with a thumb stud opening was just as good as anything else, but the flipper opening is where it's at. So easy to get it from the pocket to action! The bearing seems to hold up to abuse too. My daughter was holding/looking at the knife and dropped it straight into the soft sand at the reservoir. I was worried the sand had ruined the bearing but it still works as good as new!
Once you feel that lockup you realize how solid this folder is built. Great internals, feels like a fixed blade. The edge cuts into wood really nicely. This is a great choice for an EDC folder!
Wow, so the Kepper 5 definitely exceeded my expectations and earned a spot in my camping kit! This little workhorse can put in some hours and kept really sharp.
In looking for additional carry options for my recently ordered Hunter 5 knife i ordered the black sheath dangler to go with it.
My first impression of things started with the order. The website was easy to navigate and browse.
I do think a brief explanation of the dangler and intended use including a picture or two of use would have been helpful especially to others who may not know what it is or how it's used and my be interested in it.
The order was prompt and accurate. There was even a little extra thanking me for my order.
The product was exactly as described and was excellent in quality appearance and craftsmanship. It identically matched the leather and color of the sheath for my Hunter 5.
It was easy to install on my sheath and was comfortable to add to my belt. I do not often carry a knife this big on my body but usually on a small day pack, this is a great addition especially in colder climates etc where you are wearing wool/ snow pants or bibs as it allows you to carry more down your leg vs up on your waist where the external pants or other gear would ride.
In addition although not part of the dangler.... it was nice to see grommets built into the sheath for tying the sheath to your thigh. To have them designed to use together adds to the forethought, craftsmanship, and quality i have learned is at the heart of SlicKnives.
I did notice a small cable with threaded ends included with the dangler and found out after calling that this was a secondary means of attaching dangler to sheath that allows for more flexibility vs rigidity of carry especially if you intend to be sitting crawling or being more mobile while wearing the knive and dangler.
A small instruction sheet included with order would be helpful.
I am excited to further my use of the knife , sheath, and dangler more as we get into this year's hunting and camping seasons.... especially with this year's elk hunting trip planned more remote areas of Colorado!

The ClipPoint is a great change up from the Kepper and Hunter designs (which I also love). It’s just as slicey as the those, but it brings added utility with it's ClipPoint design. The shorter blade length really allows you to utilize the ClipPoint design to its fullest. It is much easier to get into small/intricate areas when prepping meat for the barbeque. I also really like the new jute micarta color; it definitely sets it apart from it’s siblings. I can’t wait to get this thing out into the wild!
